This is a translation for convenience. The German version is legally binding.
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of Art. 4 no. 7 GDPR is:
Wisdompeak AppsOwner: Simon Mählmann
Oderstraße 13
28844 Weyhe
Germany
E-mail: smaehlmann.appdev@gmail.com
No data protection officer has been appointed, as the requirements of Art. 37 GDPR and § 38 BDSG are not met.
2. Principle: no data collection
FairMix Pro does not process any personal data on the provider's servers. The app works entirely offline. There are no user accounts, no registration, no analytics or tracking services, no advertising and no sharing of data with third parties.
3. What is stored on the device
All entries remain exclusively in the local storage of your device. The following is stored:
- the names and name lists you enter
- groups, group names and assigned roles
- optionally the topics of a jigsaw activity you enter, along with the home and expert groups formed from them
- rules for pairing as well as the draw history
- optionally the partner history, that is, how often two names have already been in an automatically generated group together
- optionally the levels (A, B or C) you assign to individual names
- optionally the tasks you save for the name draw (for example “board duty”) and the task last selected; which person drew which task is not stored
- the time of your last backup, so that the app can remind you
- your settings for language, colour mode and draw display
This data is stored using the browser technology localStorage in the protected app directory. It is never transmitted. Uninstalling the app removes it completely. Within the app, names can be removed via “Delete all”, saved classes via “Delete”, and saved tasks individually.
4. Note on entering the names of others
If you enter the names of pupils, you process personal data on your own responsibility. As this data does not leave the device, no transmission to the provider takes place. Please nevertheless observe the requirements of your school and the applicable state regulations on data protection in schools. We recommend using first names or initials only.
The “Levels and mixing” feature lets you assign a neutral level of A, B or C to names in order to form mixed or evenly matched groups. What meaning you attach to these levels is determined solely by how you use the app; the app itself makes no assessment and stores no grades, attainment levels or support needs. Like all other entries, the levels remain on the device and appear neither in presentation mode nor in the image export, so they are not visible to pupils. If you do attach a performance-related meaning to the levels, please check whether the requirements of your school and your federal state permit such data to be processed on this device. The feature can be switched off entirely in the settings, and assigned levels can be removed at any time via “Delete all levels”.
5. Permissions
The app requests no permissions for camera, microphone, contacts, location or telephony. When you export an image or a backup, the file is placed in a temporary app directory and passed on via your device's share function. Where the file goes from there is entirely up to you.
6. Internet connections
The app does not establish any network connections of its own. It contains no external libraries, no fonts from third-party servers and no embedded content.
7. Distribution via an app store
When you download the app from an app store, its operator independently processes data (such as your account, device and the time of download). The provider of this app has no influence over this. The privacy terms of the respective operator apply.
8. Your rights
You have the rights to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As no personal data is stored by the provider, requests for information or erasure addressed to the provider will generally have no subject matter. You can delete all data yourself in the app at any time.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy will be adjusted whenever features of the app change in ways that are relevant to data protection. The version currently in force is available in the app and on this page.
10. Contact
If you have any questions about data protection, please contact smaehlmann.appdev@gmail.com.
